AZ

This is one of the most beautiful Hogg Islands that I have ever seen in my life! She is absolutely wonderful. Her tail down the sides is solid orange and the saddles on her back are orange as well. She has dramatic color changes going from white to blue.

This snake was acquired while helping a friend move to Arizona. I helped him move down to Flagstaff Arizona. Both of using being herp enthusiasts we stopped at all of the pet stores in the area that had reptiles. The first one that we went into had a small selection of reptiles. I walked back the vision cages that they had, the one on the top right corner caught my eye "Hogg Island Boa - Extinct in Wild 189.99" I quickly went and asked the guy that worked there if I could see the animal figure that it would be a male, just like the one that I already had at home. He pulled it out, the animal was absolutely stunning! My friend and my girlfriend both said "Oh my God you have to buy that if it is a girl" So I asked the man working there if he knew the sex.

In a smart ass tone he said "Well on a boa this size it isn't hard to tell" Being that the snake was almost six feet. Then he stated that it was a male. I didn't think that is was because of the absence of spurs. I asked if he had an probes so that we could know for sure. He said the he didn't. My girlfriend being the wonderful women that she is said "well I have my set right here can we check?"

The guy was kind of a moron, we checked and sure enough A GIRL! So I purchased her and brought her back home with my when I left.

AZ is an absolutely stunning Hogg in my opinion. She has great color, and never refuses food and tries to bite.

Here are a few pictures of the pair of them. The female is the lighter one with less speckling.
